A new film with deep Camden roots is now streaming on YouTube — and it’s worth your time.
Gucci Girls, written, produced, and edited by Tye Mease, dropped on April 7, 2026, and brings an unapologetically raw story to life against the backdrop of streets that many Camden residents will recognize immediately.
The film follows Ginger, a young woman who gets pulled into a dangerous circle of hustlers, romance, and betrayal. What starts as an opportunity to level up her life quickly turns into something far more complicated, as the people around her — drug dealers, love interests, and family — all have competing motives and hidden agendas. Loyalty is tested, trust is broken, and Ginger finds herself caught between the life she wants and the consequences of the choices she’s made.
Gucci Girls is the kind of film that doesn’t sugarcoat anything. It’s gritty, it’s authentic, and it’s told with the kind of energy that only comes from someone who knows the community they’re putting on screen. Tye Mease handles every aspect of the production, and that hands-on dedication shows.
If you want to see Camden reflected on screen — the real Camden — this one is worth checking out.
