Under supervision during an assigned tour of duty within an adult county correctional facility or institution, performing a wide variety of tasks in support of safety, security and welfare of inmates, facility personnel and visitors; performs other related duties as required.
County Correctional Policer Officers offers:
$39K – $95K Annually, Health Benefits, Pharmacy and Dental Insurance, Pension and life Insurance and Paid Holidays and Paid Time Off.

Job Requirements:
• Must have High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum of 18 years of age
• Must possess valid New Jersey driver’s license (May be required to possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License for type of vehicle being operated)
• Must be a citizen of the United States
• Appointees must have successfully completed a police training course approved by the New Jersey Police Training Commission
• Appointees may be required to pass a medical and psychological exam
Juvenile Detention Officer:
Under general direction of a supervisory employee during an assigned tour of duty, controls the general conduct and behavior of juvenile residents, the maintenance of discipline, and custodial, recreational, transportation, and housekeeping functions; does other related duties as required.

• Graduation from High School or Vocational School or possess an approved High School equivalency certificate
• Must possess valid New Jersey driver’s license if operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform essential duties
• Must be a citizen of the United States
•Appointees will be required to successfully complete a training program approved by the New Jersey Police Training Commission within the time period prescribed by law or the New Jersey Police Training Commission.
Security Systems Operator:
Under the direction of a Supervising Security Systems Operator; performs various tasks involving the operation of closed circuit security cameras and/ or other security system equipment; using numerous controls, recorders, television monitors and/or other security equipment. Responds to emergency, criminal and/or disorderly activities and may make recordings of these events.
Job Requirements:
• Must possess valid New Jersey driver’s license if operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform essential duties
• Appointees may be required to complete a training course that covers the security equipment they will be responsible for operating.
• Appointees may be required to pass a background examination
